At our March 6th meeting, Doug Patten served for the first time as Toastmaster of the Day and ably led us through our full program. Tom Sharpe presented us with some intriguing questions around the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day as the theme for Tabletopics. Dawn Howard was voted as best Tabletopics speaker. Nicole Hubbert delivered her emotional Ice Breaker speech “The man my sister and I were going to marry.” while Deborah Dickson passionately shared her motivating speech: “Drive Your Career Like a Rock Star.” Murem Sharpe then assumed the role of General EValuator, giving valualble feedback on tonight’s meeting performance. Andy Uhlig was voted best evaluator for Nicole Hubbert’s speech. We also had the pleasure to welcome a guest, Mark Finnern, who signed up and joined our organization at the end of the meeting.
We were priviliged to have as our guest Mr. Kene Iloenyosi, DTM, District Governor for District 14. In his remarks, he specially honoredJeb Newton, our loyal and longest standing member, Nicole Hubbert for her curageous and emotional Ice Breaker speech, and Jane Jude for her tireless efforts in the role of coach for our club over the last year. Kene joined us for our traditional “First Tuesday” social hour at Wild Wing Cafe at City Market.
Because That’s How It’s Done” was the informative speech about business equiquette delivered by Deborah Dickson, garnering the Best Speaker award. Nora Lewis was Best Evaluator of Deborah. New member Andy Uhlig won the Best Table Topics Speaker ribbon, having fielded one of Table Topics Master Kyrin Dunston’s challenging questions. Seasoned member Jeb Newton led us as Toastmaster of the Day, with Sonja Wallen wrapping up the meeting as General Evaluator.
